A letter sent to the employees of Infosys by Narayan Murthy was awesome ! Read it here.

Mail sent by Narayan Murthy to all Infosys staff:

It’s half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on… PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing… And who’s at work? Most of them ??? Take a closer look…

All or most specimens are ?? Something male species of the human race…

Look closer… again all or most of them are bachelors…

And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!! Any guesses??? Let’s ask one of them… Here’s what he says… ‘What’s there 2 do after going home…Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late…Importantly no bossssssss!!!!!!!!!!!’

This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.

Bachelors ‘Passing-Time’ during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they’ve nothing else to do… Now what r the consequences…

‘Working’ (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.

With bosses more than eager to provide support to those ‘working’ late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he’s a hard worker….. goes home only to change..!!). They aren’t helping things too…

To hell with bosses who don’t understand the difference between ‘sitting’ late and ‘working’ late!!!

Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.

So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family… office is no longer a priority, family is… and That’s when the problem starts… b’coz u start having commitments at home too.

For your boss, the earlier ‘hardworking’ guy suddenly seems to become a ‘early leaver’ even if u leave an hour after regular time… after doing the same amount of work.

People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers…

Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays… though) leave on time are labelled as ‘not up to it’. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on ‘working’ not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.

So what’s the moral of the story??
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time ‘ unless really needed ‘
* Don’t stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..

Learn music…..

Learn a foreign language…

Try a sport… TT, cricket………..

Importantly, get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town…

* And for heaven’s sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.

Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *’Life’s calling, where are you??’*

Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don’t stay back till midnight to forward this!!!

IT’S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON’T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !

Regards, NARAYAN MURTHY

Who am I?

A student from General Category in India.

Doesn't he have two legs to walk?

Doesn't he have a hand to write?

Doesn't he have a mouth to speak?

Doesn't he have a brain to think?

Why aren't we treated equal then?

This is one of the main reason for India to still remain as a "DEVELOPING" country!

All the deserving people move out of India to do their higher studies as they have a better opporunity there rather than here. There are numerous examples for the same and there will be more if RESERVATION system is not changed! So friends let us all fight for the DESERVED rather than fighting for the RESERVEDSay No To Reservation

I think this sums up what is wrong with India. Today, people are on the roads and killing others because Supreme Court has made amendments to the SC/ST act. This hooliganism is what is wrong. People in this country have become addicted to free services and reserved seats and they want reservations every now and then and they can go to any means to make their demands met. We can see the example of rioting and burning national properties by the so called jobless who wants to get a job not because they have something unique to give but because they have been born in a certain caste and religion.

Dont forget your morals in life!! (Apply this once and you'll never regret)

Truely Inspired By It.

New Employee Resignation - Office Environment.

One day a new employee went to the HR and said .. I'm not interested in coming to the office anymore.”

The HR responded, “But why?”

Then the boy told “Ah! I can speculate many employees speaking badly about other Employees on back of him/her, Few employees looking at their fellow employees in a wrong way, there are hell lot of things that I can prove you wrong in our Office”

The HR replied “OK. But before you go, take a full glass of water and walk three times around the office area without spilling a drop on the floor.

He walked three times around the office floor.

Then he reached HR saying that he is done with it.

And the HR asked “When you were walking around the Office floor did you see any employee speaking badly about another Employee? Any Gossips? Any disturbances?

"NO"

“You know why?”

“No”

“You were focused on the glass, to make sure you didn't tip it and spill any water. The same goes with our life. When our focus is on our priorities, we don't have time to see the mistakes of others.”

Moral of the story.

Concentrate on priorities and not on others Mistakes..!!

What are some thug life moments of Indian history? (Part 1)

Swami Vivekananda- a person with an amazing wit and presence of mind. Here is a story which shows how he once butchered the butcherers.

Swami was once travelling in a train and was wearing a wrist watch that caught the attention of a few girls present in the train, these girls were making fun of his clothes and his appearance; they decided to play a prank on him.

The girls asked him to give them the watch else they would complain to the cops that he was harassing them, he then remained silent and acted deaf; made signs to the girls to write what they wanted to say on a piece of paper, the girls wrote it on the paper and gave it to him.

What he did next is truly amazing! He then spoke, he called the cops and said 'I have a complaint to make.'

Teachers thug life!!..

A Professor started his class on a very serious Topic. The moment he turned towards the blackboard, one of the students whistled. He turned, looked at the class and asked the Whistler's name. No one answered.

The Professor peacefully kept the Pen in his pocket saying: "Lecture ends here. I'll tell you a story to utilise the remaining time".

Everyone became interested.

"Yesterday night I tried hard to sleep, but it was miles away from my eyes, so I thought I'd better get petrol in my car, which will save my time next morning and might induce sleep. After having my tank full, I started roaming in that area, enjoying the peace of a traffic free ride.

Suddenly, on the corner I saw a girl who was as young and beautiful as the clothes she was wearing. Must have been returning from a party. Out of courtesy, I turned my car towards her and asked if I may be of any help. She asked me if I could drop her to her home, she'll be very obliged, to which I agreed.

She sat in the front seat with me. We started talking, and to my amazement she was very intelligent, had control on many topics which many youngsters don't.

When we reached her address, she admitted my courteous nature and behavior and accepted that she had fallen in love with me.

I also admitted her intelligence and beauty and that I've also started liking her. I told her about my job as a professor in the university.

The girl asked my number, which I gave her willingly. Then she asked me a favor, to which i couldn't have denied naturally.

She said that her brother is a student in the same university, and asked me to take care of him, since we'll be in a long relationship now.

I asked the name of the student. She said that I'll recognise him with one of his very prominent quality, He whistles a lot!

All eyes in the classroom turned towards the boy who had whistled.

The professor said: "I didn't buy my Ph. D in Psychology.. I earned it”.

What is the best way to deal with sarcasm when you are a victim?

Most of the times people ask my whereabouts. One day, a sweet Indian lady asked the same.

She: Aniket, can you please tell me where you are from?

Me: I am from India ma’am.

(She got offended and said sarcastically)
She: I thought you are from Japan.

Me: Oh! Sorry ma’am, I have never been to Japan. And I don’t have a dual citizenship.

She: Don’t you understand sarcasm?

Me: Oh! Was it sarcastic? Sorry to disappoint you, but I couldn’t understand it.

was the victim of sarcasm here, did you notice how I handled it? First let me explain, what is Sarcasm in my own words.

Consider, you are offended and you want to slap that person, but your etiquette doesn’t allow you to do so. In that extreme situation when people use words to punch that person in the face, without abusing, and in a calm manner, is called Sarcasm.

Now in a different scenario, where you have become a victim of sarcasm, what will you do? Then, remember this golden rule!

Purpose of Sarcasm: Someone wants to punch you with their words.

The moment you react, that person succeeds in his/her purpose. And the moment you lose your mind, they win.

What to do?

Behave like an innocent person, like you have no idea what the hell sarcasm is. The moment, when the other person has to explain that he/she used sarcasm on you, they fail in their purpose. It is as simple as that.

Sometimes you win when you pretend to be a loser. This is the best way to deal with sarcasm.
I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you. Sorry for the mean, awful and accurate things I
 said.

story of a sisters brother......

At the age of 11 my mother forced me to accompany my sister (17) whenever she went outside.

I was obviously reluctant at first but finally agreed. I used to sit behind the activa while she rode to the grocery store, shopping mall etc.

It was all good until the following incident took place.

It was around 7 pm and we were coming back from the supermarket.

Two boys with covered faces stopped their bike in front of us, passed an inappropriate comment and disappeared before we could think of anything.

I was perplexed. I was shocked. I felt helpless. I felt weak. I knew the meaning of that comment.

I didn't eat properly that night. I was sleepless for a few days. Mom noticed a change in my behavior.

Mom: Is something bothering you? You don't seem fine.

Me: I was waiting to share it with someone. The stress was enormous and I told her exactly what I felt.

Mom: Did you talk to your sister after the incident?

Me: No maa!! If I felt helpless and weak, I can't even imagine what she would have felt.

Mom: This is why I told you to accompany her. Se

But now you know that it is not. I'm sure you wouldn't want any girl to feel like the way your sister did.

And she was right. The people close to me know that I've severed friendships, raised my voice but I never compromised on this fact.

I would never ever want any girl to feel the way my sister did.
e, you are going to be a teenager soon and perhaps you'll think that it's cool to follow a girl or pass some comments. Even some of your friends might force you. They'll tell you that it's OK.

Parents can be ATM cards for their children but children need to be Adhar Cards for their Parents......

When the gentleman was 45 years old his wife suddenly passed away.....

His relatives and friends advised him to remarry and settle down.

But

He advised all in the negative and told them that he had only one son

And my son is a gift to me from my wife,

I will look after him well and my life will be successful with his success.

Son grows up...gets married in grand style and the father handed over his well established business to his son and retired.

After a year or so the father had his breakfast a bit early one morning

After starting his breakfast he requested his daughter in law for curd ......if it was there

His daughter in law said there was no curd....this was heard by his son...who was entering the dining area for breakfast.

After the father had his breakfast the son and his wife sat down to have breakfast....on the breakfast table there was a bowl of curd.

After having his breakfast and with no comments, the son also left home for office. That day and night the son pondered over curd matter.

Next day the son requested his father to accompany him to the court to get married.

His father told him "I do not need a second marriage at this age and I give you all the love, you do not need a mother.

What is the use of the second marriage ?"

The son replied him politely...father I am not getting a mother for myself or a wife for you....i am only trying my best so that you get your bowl of curd everyday.

From tomorrow me and my wife will move to a rented apartment and I shall work in your office as a worker who will be paid wages,so that your daughter in law knows the value of a bowl of curd.

Parents can be ATM cards for their children but children need to be Adhar Cards for their Parents......
